Grandfather killed, Kevin McCorvey jailed in non-emergency ambulance crash

Wilton Thomason, Jr. Death – Cause of Death : A 66-year-old Wilton Thomason, Jr. has been pronounced dead after the non-emergency ambulance he entered crashed in Fairburn.

According to report released by the Authorities, an ambulance driven by a 34-year-old Kevin McCorvey was moving when the vehicle veer off and overturned in a ditch. The grandfather to five sustained fatal injuries from the accident, the officials stated that the unrestrained victim died at the scene.

McCorvey has been detained in the Fulton County Jail with no bond. The officials stated that they perceived alcohol on his breath and McCorvey admitted to smoking marijuana, taking Adderall, and beer while driving the ambulance.

It was also revealed that McCorvey and his co-worker tried to veer off the scene in an Uber after the crash but were stopped by the Authorities.

The children of the deceased have demanded an explanation of what happened having stated that their father was a fighter and had survived several health challenges including COVID.

The accident remains under investigation.
