Wood Logan Death | Wood Logan Dead – Obituary

I am absolutely heartbroken to have to relay to you the sad information that Cody Overstreet, friend, father and consummate Wood Logan man, has passed away. Like many of us, Cody started his career with Wood Logan as an internal marketing specialist. He was a gifted salesman and valuable team member always willing to share ideas and help better the company and the culture. But Cody was much more than a salesman. He was a truly kind man who loved to laugh and laugh with others. Like all of us, he loved the Wood Logan family and many of us have shared way too many beers with him in the past. I am reminded of the time I first met him at an FFP conference. We went out to lunch before a day of sitting in front of the booth. As we headed back to the conference, we walked by a country bar with live music and he convinced me to stop in for one beer (probably wasn’t hard). We didn’t leave until 1 am and that was because the band refused to let us come up and sing another song. Cody brought an energy and an infectious spirit wherever he went. He was a family man and leaves behind his wife Deena and their four children. I hooked up with him a few months ago. We laughed about the craziness that we both have experienced having four kids. At the end of that conversation he raised his glass and said “hey, I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

When we pass away, no one will care how much money we raised, how much money we made, or what title we achieved. That Cody was a wonderful and successful salesman matters little today. Your legacy solely rests on whether you were a good person, a good husband, a good father. Did you make people better? Did you love others and did they love you. The fact that Cody excelled in all of the above means that, though he left us too soon, he had a life well lived and I, like those of you who knew him, am honored to have called him my friend. He will be missed.
