Cal Legrow, the founder of Atlantic Canada’s largest independent commercial insurance brokerage, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, November 16th, 2021. Cal LeGrow founded Cal LeGrow Insurance in 1984 after 20 years in the insurance industry. He also established the Cal LeGrow Foundation, which works to improve the lives of children. His son, Jeff, is the current CEO, and he has three other offices in Atlantic Canada.
Cal will be remembered for his generosity, kindness, care, and respect for others. Others looked to him for advice because he was so good at finding a way through and simplifying difficult problems. His responses were always positive and calming. His vibrant personality, sense of humour, and willingness to assist make him a valuable business partner, a trustworthy leader, a worthy friend, and an inspiring role model.
