The former Mufti of the Kingdom, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Baz – may God have mercy on him – explained that there is nothing wrong with worshipers following the good readings and the beautiful voice, even if they moved from the mosques near their residence. On the pretext that they do not feel comfortable or do not complete their reverence in prayer behind these imams, and His Eminence said; If the intent is to seek help with that in reverence in his prayer, and to relax in his prayer and reassure his heart, then it appears to me that it is permissible, because not every sound is soothing. He will be rewarded for this and will be rewarded, according to his intention.
His Eminence, may God have mercy on him, added; That the worshiper may humble himself behind an imam, but not behind an imam, so if he intends to go to a distant mosque to listen to his recitation and humble himself for the beauty of his voice, and to benefit from that and humble himself in prayer, not just because of whims and wanderings, no; Rather, for the purpose of benefit, the intention of knowledge, and the intention of humility in prayer, then in the authentic hadith, the Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, says: “The people who are most rewarded in prayer are the farthest from them in walking to it, so the furthest from them” .. If his intention was also the steps, then this is also a valid intention, and His Eminence does not see anything wrong with His Eminence. Moving to Tarawih prayers and standing up from mosque to mosque, he said; And if I am inclined to believe that he sticks to the mosque in which his heart is at peace and humility in it, because he may go to the other mosque and he does not attain there what happened to him in the first mosque of humility and tranquility, then it is more likely that he is according to the Shari’ah rules that if he finds an imam who is reassured and humbled in his prayer and recitation that It is necessary, or more than that with him, and the matter is not embarrassed by the praise of God, the matter is broad if it is transferred to another imam, we do not know of anything wrong with it if his intention is good, and his intention is not something other than hypocrisy or anything else, but the closest in terms of legal rules is that it is necessary A mosque in which there is humility, tranquility, and good reading, or in which there are many worshipers for its reasons. If many worshipers pray in it for its reasons, they follow it.
