Yesterday (Saturday), the first evacuation ship for Saudi nationals arrived at the Jeddah Islamic Port coming from Port Sudan, carrying a number of Saudi citizens and nationals of 12 sister countries.
The evacuation process, which began yesterday, in coordination with the Sudanese Armed Forces, includes the evacuation of 157 people on board 4 ships coming from Sudan to Jeddah. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had announced the start of arranging the evacuation of Saudi citizens and a number of nationals of brotherly and friendly countries from Sudan to the Kingdom. The ministry indicated that this comes in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to follow up and care for the Kingdom's citizens in Sudan.
The implementation of the Royal Saudi Navy, in cooperation with the various branches of the armed forces, to evacuate citizens from brotherly Sudan comes in response to the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his trustworthy Crown Prince, in the interest of Saudi nationals in various countries of the world.
The evacuation, which included nationals of friendly countries, is the first evacuation of foreign nationals in Sudan since the outbreak of the conflict, as the naval forces secured their exit from Khartoum to Port Sudan.
