The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announced the start of the second phase of documenting contracts by obligating establishments to document 50% of employee contracts through the Qawia platform, as the ministry determined the percentages of commitment required to document contracts from the total facility employees according to each quarter of the year 2023 AD as follows: the first quarter 20%, the second quarter 50% Third Quarter 80%.

The contract documentation service aims to preserve the rights of the parties to the relationship (the employer and the employee) and to provide a work environment that helps the employee’s stability and increase his productivity, in addition to verifying the establishments’ compliance with the laws and provisions of the labor system, ensuring the validity of contract data, and reducing disputes and labor issues.

The electronic contract documentation service allows employers to upload and update information on the contracts of Saudi and non-Saudi employees in the private sector. The service also allows workers to verify the validity of their contract data.

The Ministry stated that after the establishment of the employment contract by the establishment, the employee can approve or reject the contract or request its amendment through his account in the forces of individuals, and in the event that the two parties agree, the contract is considered documented by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
