The Saudi student Amira Al-Sulami on scholarship from King Khalid University in Abha won the Distinguished Student Award from Florida Tech University in Florida, USA, which is awarded annually by the university to outstanding and active students who have made academic and societal contributions.

The Dean of the Evans Library, Coordinator of the Cultural Competition Program, Nancy E. Garmer, said: This nomination for the award comes in sympathy for her academic achievements in addition to her commitment and dedication to the club's service, such as creating a document in Arabic for new Saudi students that is very similar to what a librarian might create as a research guide for students in Indeed, stating that she asked a new librarian to create a similar search guide in English for all new students using Amira's model,

"Providing this information to Saudi students in their first language is a valuable contribution to imparting knowledge and increasing access to it," she added, stressing that Amira is one of the most interactive students she met and shared ideas and latest projects that strengthen her international student organization, and she is also passionate about sharing the strong culture of Saudi Arabia. With the university's community and special event schedules, this award is well deserved.

The student, Amira Al-Salami, presented the award to the homeland and the leadership that brought her to this place with her concern for her children. She also dedicates this victory to the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and King Khalid University in Abha for their constant support for scholarship students, and to her family, which stands by her at all times and supports her to excel and succeed.
