Walid bin Abdul Karim Al-Khereiji, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, received the first batch of citizens of the Kingdom who were evacuated from the Republic of Sudan, and a number of nationals of brotherly and friendly countries, upon their arrival today at King Faisal Naval Base in the Western Fleet in Jeddah, on board the ship «His Majesty King Jubail». ».

They were also received by the Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs branch in Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, Mazen bin Hamad Al-Hamli, the Commander of the Western Region, Major General Pilot P.S.C Ahmed Al-Dubais, the Commander of the Western Fleet, Marine Major General Yahya Al-Asiri, and a number of officials in the diplomatic missions accredited to the Kingdom representing the arriving nationals.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the wise leadership always works for the comfort of Saudi citizens abroad, and accordingly the decision was taken to evacuate Saudi diplomats and citizens who are in Sudan, and also the nationals of a number of brotherly and friendly countries were evacuated.

His Excellency said that the journey of transporting citizens and nationals was long, starting from Khartoum, passing through a number of regions in Sudan until reaching Port Sudan, and with the cooperation of government agencies in the Kingdom, and the great role of the Ministry of Defense that implemented this plan, we all celebrate the return of our children and the sons of brotherly and friendly countries to the land of the Kingdom Saudi Arabia, which coincided with the celebration of Eid Al-Fitr.

Citizens and nationals of brotherly and friendly countries expressed their thanks and appreciation to the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and to the concerned authorities in the Kingdom for their efforts to secure their transportation and work to facilitate the procedures for their arrival to the Kingdom.
