Joy! as missing 14-year-old New Jersey teen was found safe in New York City
EAST ORANGE, New Jersey – Report reaching us this morning states that a 14-year-old girl who has been missing for days has been found safe.
On Thursday night Essex County Officials announced that Jashyah Moore was safely located in NYC and she was been provided all appropriate services. and they said she will be reunited with her family in New Jersey.
No additional information was provided
The teenager had gone missing nearly a month ago. She was last seen outside Poppie’s Deli on Central Avenue in East Orange, New Jersey. on Thursday, October 14. The teen’s mother said her daughter went to U.S. Food Market on Central Avenue in East Orange at about 7:30 a.m. for juice and paper towels.
Jamie Moore, the mother of the teen said Jashyah came back and told her that the EBT card is lost she then told her to Backtrack her steps. the card she lost was the card used by many families for assistance in purchasing food.
She said when her daughter didn’t come back within an hour, she went out looking for her. She said she walked up and down Central Avenue going to several delis. Jamie Moore said she finally saw a police car approaching and she flagged down and reported her daughter missing.
She said police searched her house on Amherst Street the first day, and returned to remove her daughter’s video games, personal documents, and even the mother’s phone.
When Officials visited the first deli JaShyah Moore went to the day she went missing, the clerk said East Orange investigators had taken the footage showing the teen in the store that morning. A female clerk said “Somebody came in with her and paid for her”. where the girl bought juice and some candy. The employee’s co-worker, Bassan Awaldi, said the man was wearing a baseball hat and a mask. Awaldi said. “He talked with her, he pay and go”.
