The Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing issued the "Building Compliance Certification Procedures Guide", with existing buildings given a 6-month deadline to abide by and comply with what was stated in the guide, with the aim of reducing visual distortions in commercial and residential buildings, and upgrading the urban landscape in cities.
The Ministry stated in a press statement today that mechanisms have been identified for obtaining the certificate according to a number of requirements, indicating that the building compliance certificate is granted according to 3 items, which are (the design of the building, which includes 7 elements, and the general location, which includes 6 elements, in addition to distortion). Al-Basri, which includes 15 elements), indicating that these requirements are mandatory for obtaining a certificate of compliance, and in the event of non-compliance with the conditions and requirements during the occupancy of the building, fines will be imposed on violators, and the guide can be viewed by visiting the page (My City is My Responsibility) on the Ministry’s website.
The Ministry called on the owners of existing and new buildings to take advantage of the current deadline, which ends on 3/1/1445, to address their conditions, due to its importance in improving the urban landscape, which is one of the most important pillars in achieving the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, to provide a healthy and sustainable urban environment, in addition to addressing Visual distortion and improving the quality of life.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing launched a number of regulations and legislation aimed at improving the urban landscape, reducing elements of visual distortion, and improving the quality of life in Saudi cities, in order to achieve the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
