The Sudanese army agreed to a truce for a period of 3 days, starting this evening (Friday), and expressed its hope that the Rapid Support Forces would abide by all the requirements of the truce and stop any military movements.

Eyewitnesses reported that the clashes became less intense, but the Sudanese army announced that it had monitored violations of the truce throughout the day, accusing the Rapid Support Forces of attacking the headquarters of the Air Defense Forces and police stations.

The Rapid Support Forces had said earlier in the day that they had agreed to a 72-hour truce. Despite this, gunfire and shelling were heard in Khartoum, but there is some kind of relative commitment to the armistice in most areas of Khartoum, while separate gunshots are heard.

And the Sudanese army had previously announced that the rapid support retreat from its areas of deployment in Khartoum is a condition for the continuation of any truce, stressing that its forces confronted the rapid support forces in the vicinity of the General Command and Khartoum Airport. He pointed out that the Rapid Support Forces mobilized its forces among vital areas near residential areas in Khartoum. He accused the Rapid Support Forces of violating the armistice and targeting separate areas in Khartoum, which caused great damage to several government facilities.
