The head of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Muhammad al-Alimi, revealed today (Friday) the efforts made by brothers and friends to revive the initiative of the Council and the government represented in opening the port of Hodeidah, expanding travel destinations from Sana'a airport, and paying salaries.
Al-Alimi said in tweets on the occasion of the one year anniversary of the formation of the Presidential Leadership Council, according to the announcement of the transfer of power: Over the course of 12 months, the Council set a unique example in siding with the interests of the people, alleviating their suffering by opening the port of Hodeidah, expanding travel destinations from Sanaa airport, and its pledge to pay salaries in general. The country, before the militia chose to escalate and close the door of hope, which we are now returning to revive with the support of our brothers and friends.
He added, “For a whole year, the Presidential Council underwent difficult tests, and today it is more coherent and adheres to the legitimate goals and aspirations of its people in building its inclusive civil state based on justice, equality, respect for human rights, public freedoms, guaranteeing women’s participation, and good neighborliness.” He explained that, like this blessed night, April 7 of last year, the national forces agreed to form the Presidential Leadership Council according to the declaration of the transfer of power, at a historical moment in which the members of the Council pledged and still pledge to take responsibility, fulfill the promise to end suffering, and restore state institutions through peace or war. .
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council expressed his thanks to the Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy, saying: “We thank the Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the rest of the GCC countries, the Arab brothers, and the international community for the solidarity and support that the Council received, and we renew our commitment to them to work together.” For the sake of making sustainable peace, and the secure future that our people deserve.
