Today (Wednesday), the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, affirmed the Council and the government's adherence to the just and comprehensive peace approach, and full readiness for this achievement, which is in the interest of the Yemeni people and their aspirations to restore state institutions, security, stability and development.
Al-Alimi stressed, during two separate meetings, with the ambassadors of the United Kingdom to Yemen, Richard Oppenheim, and the Kingdom of Norway, Thomas Laidpool, the importance of integrating all efforts to push the Houthis to deal seriously with the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the international community, and to return to a comprehensive political process sponsored by the United Nations.
In turn, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Major General Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, renewed the Leadership Council's support for all efforts aimed at ending the war in his country, bringing peace and restoring security and stability to the region through constructive and purposeful dialogue to find real solutions to the central issues of the conflict, foremost of which is the southern issue.
Al-Zubaidi stressed today that the Presidential Leadership Council made many concessions in order for the efforts led by the envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to launch a comprehensive political process in Yemen that deals with all the central issues, explaining that the southern issue will be present in it through a framework of its own within the negotiation team of the Council. presidential leadership.
