The poet Attia Saleh Al-Sultani Al-Zahrani, who was born in Tihama Zahran in 1392, passed away after leaving his great mark in the poetry of Al-Arda among poets, the treatment of Al-Raqi, his sweet style in his poems, and his dealings with society.
Al-Sultani came out of my verse, as his father, Salih Gibran Al-Sultani, is considered one of the shrewdest poets in rhyming poetry, and he was a student at his hands. He moved to Al-Baha to work for a period of time, and in 1416 AH he moved to the city of Jeddah as a government employee, in addition to writing the Southern Ardha, which he is famous for.
Ahmed Al-Shamrani, a writer in the “Okaz” newspaper, said about him that he does not believe in pairings or blocs, and does not specify who will attend with him.
On the human level, he is kind, loving to all, and generous.
Attia Al-Sultani died, and his absence will leave a great poetic and public void in the field he was master.
Al-Sultani died after suffering from illness for a period of time, after which he settled in a hospital to receive treatment, so that his death was announced on Friday, February 24, 2023 at Al-Noor Specialist Hospital.
