The Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ambassador Hossam Zaki, announced that it was decided to hold an urgent meeting of the League Council at the level of permanent delegates, today, Sunday, under the presidency of Egypt, to discuss developments in the situation in Sudan.
Ambassador Zaki said in a statement that the meeting was held at the request of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
