The customs of the feast days differ from one region to another according to the environment, place and population. However, the prevailing custom in each region is the plurality of expressing manifestations of joy and happiness through visits, meetings and gatherings, which start from the morning of the feast day and last for 3 days.
In Jubail in the eastern region, the customs vary and are numerous, but the citizen Mansour Al-Buainain confirmed that the most important thing that distinguished the Eid in Jubail in the past was the keenness of everyone in Jubail to go out for the Eid prayer, men and women, so the houses and the city seemed empty of its residents who went out for the Eid prayer, and the prayer was outside City. And he said: «We also remember that after the Eid prayer, small groups work for children and girls, and they return to all the houses through the roads of the houses and circle the neighborhood, chanting “Your Eid Mubarak, O People of the House”, and they receive gifts, riyals and feasts, as well as decorations that were among the most important manifestations of joy. In addition, we meet at lunch or dinner in the big house, and the popular heritage has an importance on the feast, as the performance is held for 3 days.
Citizen Matar Saad added: “One of the most important habits of the people of Jubail is the keenness to perform the Fajr prayer, and then perform the Eid prayer in congregation, and peace be upon the congregation of the mosque, in an atmosphere of joy and happiness, and the keenness to communicate with family, relatives, the elderly, the sick, and the exchange of visits.” Between neighbors, celebrations, and the show.
