While the health situation in Sudan has entered a dangerous stage, with a large number of hospitals out of service, and amid the depletion of large quantities of goods with supply operations halted as a result of the intensification of battles, Sudanese Health Minister Haitham Ibrahim revealed today (Friday) that more than 600 deaths It was monitored in hospitals, according to what was reported by Al-Arabiya channel, but the World Health Organization reported that 413 people were killed and 3,551 injured.

Sudanese medical institutions have warned of the death of dozens of people in hospitals due to the lack of necessary equipment and electricity, and confirmed that the bodies have been lying in the streets of Khartoum for several days.

And the “TASS” agency quoted: People are dying even in their homes, because we cannot evacuate them and it is impossible to bury them. The bodies have been stacked for three or four days.

Doctors Without Borders announced that its members are unable to bring more medical supplies into Sudan, warning that if the situation does not change, more lives will be lost. She pointed out that the medical supplies in Al Janoub Hospital in El Fasher will only last for 3 weeks if we are unable to bring in new supplies.

The Sudanese Red Crescent called for safe paths to be opened so that medical personnel can do their work.

The Preliminary Committee of the Sudan Doctors Syndicate stated that about 70% of the hospitals adjacent to the areas of clashes between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces are not functioning.

She explained that about 55 basic hospitals in the capital and the states out of 78 have stopped working, and the rest are threatened with closure due to a lack of staff, medical supplies, electricity and water.

The Syndicate reported that four hospitals were bombed in the city of Al-Abyad, which brings the total number of hospitals that were bombed to 13, and pointed out that the bombing in Al-Abyad resulted in the death of 26 and the injury of 33. It stated that 19 hospitals were forced to evacuate forcibly.
