Today (Sunday), former Sudanese Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdouk called on the army and rapid support leaders to stop the ongoing war in Sudan, stressing that his country is going through a difficult circumstance and the situation is catastrophic.

Hamdok said, "I call on the leadership of the army and rapid support to stop this war, and I call on the Sudanese people to maintain cohesion and unity," calling on the international and regional community to help Sudan and stand by it.

He added, “The war destroys everything and everything, and it must stop today before tomorrow,” stressing that peace is the only option available to the Sudanese people to avoid sliding into civil war.

The former prime minister called for a truce that allows for the opening of safe passages, and pointed out that there is no alternative but to sit with each other in a dialogue that leads to a satisfactory solution for all segments of the Sudanese people.

Hamdok stressed a return to the transitional track that began more than three years ago, once again calling on the army leadership and rapid support to sit immediately for negotiations leading to addressing the differences that led to this situation, saying: “I will make every effort, and make contacts with all capitals; To encourage them to move to provide all possible assistance to the Sudanese people.
