The draft amendment to the executive regulations for regulating housing support, which was proposed by the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing (checked by “Okaz”), revealed that granting housing support to those over the age of 25 years and who has an incurable disease, a wheelchair, or the handicapped of a severe degree, based on medical reports issued. On behalf of the relevant authorities, and the Ministry accepts them, with the deletion of the condition applied in the previous regulation, which stipulates that support is conditional on “when his illness or disability makes him unable to work.” The regulation affirmed the right of those over the age of 25 without marriage to housing support.
The draft referred to the amendment of Paragraph (d) No. 4 of Article Three of the Implementing Regulations for the Regulation of Housing Support, that the individual who cannot be included in the groups stipulated in Paragraph (a) of this article is considered as a family rule if he is one of the following categories: Two years have passed since her divorce, or the widow, whatever their age, and whoever exceeds 25 years of age without marriage, and a son or daughter whose parents have died, but who has not reached the age of 25 years, and a son or daughter of unknown parents who has not reached the age of 25 years, and whoever exceeds 25 years of age who has An incurable disease, a wheelchair, or the handicapped with a severe disability, based on medical reports issued by the relevant authorities and accepted by the Ministry.
This proposal came based on the letter of the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority for Persons with Disabilities No. 179124, regarding the study of exempting persons with disabilities from the condition of marriage, who are able to work in cooperation with the Authority for Persons with Disabilities, as the executive regulations allow a person with a degree of disability The severely disabled person who is unable to work is allowed to enter the housing support, and accordingly several meetings were held and it was agreed that the severely handicapped person, whether he has the ability to work or is unable to work, will be accepted. With the aim of accepting this segment in housing support programs and enabling it to obtain the first home.
