Life has returned to normal in the border area between Lebanon and Israel, as cautious calm prevails after a limited bombing operation carried out by the Israeli occupation army at dawn (Friday), on some sites in Lebanon, in response to missile attacks that Israel accuses Hamas of being responsible for. During the night, the Israeli army targeted 3 installations of the Palestinian movement in southern Lebanon.
In the early morning hours, and after consulting with caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, Foreign Minister Abdullah Bouhabib instructed Lebanon's permanent mission to the United Nations in New York to submit an official complaint to the UN Security Council following the deliberate Israeli bombing and aggression.
The Israeli bombardment caused limited material damage to a cattle pen as a result of a missile falling near an army checkpoint at the entrance to Al-Rashidiyah, south of Tyre.
The bombing caused damage to the electricity transformer in the Ras al-Ain area and in a project phrase that branched from the town's ponds, and damage to homes and cars as a result of the pressure caused by the bombing.
For its part, the Litani River Authority announced, in a statement, that the Israeli attack that targeted the Tire area led to direct damage to the facilities of the Qasimia irrigation project in the Qulailiyah area, and hit one of the ferries and part of the Qasimia irrigation canal that irrigate the orchards in the Qulailiyah area and beyond. And it stated in a statement today, that the technical teams have begun a technical inspection to conduct maintenance to restart the project before the 2023 irrigation season. A number of Syrian families working in agriculture have been displaced from the Ras al-Ain area to remote areas from the bombing.
