The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to extend its white hand to support the Yemeni people on various political, economic and development levels, including the embrace of more than two million expatriates.
And the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Yemen, Muhammad Saeed Al Jaber, announced today (Tuesday) that the Saudi embassy has issued, since mid-2018 until today, more than half a million work visas and 350,000 family visit visas.
The ambassador wrote on his Twitter account: "In continuation of the Kingdom's leadership's keenness to support the Yemeni people, the embassy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Yemen has issued more than half a million work visas and 350,000 family visit visas since mid-year (2018 AD) until today and from all Yemeni governorates without exception."
This comes at a time when the project to operate the Prosthetic Limbs and Rehabilitation Center in Taiz Governorate provided its various medical services to 326 beneficiaries of the Yemeni people who lost their limbs during the month of March 2023, with the support of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action.
During the project, the center provided 1,201 services, of which the percentage of male beneficiaries reached 67% and the percentage of females 33%, while the percentage of displaced persons constituted 11% and residents 89% of the total beneficiaries.
The prostheses were manufactured, installed and rehabilitated for 77 patients, which included the delivery, measurement and maintenance of the prostheses. Physiotherapy services were provided, which varied between physiotherapy sessions and specialized consultations, benefiting 249 patients.
This comes as an extension of the humanitarian projects presented by the Kingdom represented by the center to raise the capabilities of the health sector and try to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
