In Cairo, the League of Arab States warned of the seriousness of the violent escalation in Sudan, and the accompanying dangerous repercussions, whose scope is difficult to determine internally and regionally, which necessitates all parties to uphold the interest of Sudan. And it expressed, during an emergency meeting at the level of permanent delegates, at the invitation of Saudi Arabia and Egypt, yesterday (Sunday), its readiness to make all efforts to assist Sudan, to work closely on continuous follow-up to developments in the current crisis, and to intensify the necessary Arab contacts to achieve the above. The Council is in permanent session to follow up developments in the situation in Sudan.

She expressed deep regret for the casualties during the recent clashes, calling for the need to immediately stop all armed clashes to stop bloodshed, in order to preserve the security and safety of civilians, and the capabilities, territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Sudanese people, stressing the importance of a speedy return to the peaceful path to resolving the crisis.
