Prince Faisal bin Salman, Governor of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Region, inaugurated the national program for the unified Zakat Al-Fitr project in the region through the national donation platform “Donate”, which makes it easier for individuals to pay zakat in a reliable manner, ensuring the speed and flexibility of delivering zakat to those who deserve it through fast and safe payment options.
The unified Zakat al-Fitr project comes as an extension of the generous care of the wise leadership for all aspects of charitable and humanitarian work in the Kingdom, especially in the blessed month of Ramadan.
The platform aims to receive reliable donations by relying on a transparent methodology, and it is directed to the most needy individuals in society under the supervision of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in cooperation with the region's charitable warehouse and success partners from private charitable societies in the region.
The “Donation” platform represents one of the ways to achieve facilitation and service for the ritual of Zakat al-Fitr and its beneficiaries, and provides more options for charity and humanitarian work, in a way that enhances the principle of solidarity in society, and develops financial resources and capabilities of non-profit organizations.
For his part, the Director General of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development branch in the region, Eng. Abdullah bin Ghazi Al-Sa'edi, expressed his great thanks and gratitude to His Highness, the Emir of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Region, for his support, care, and constant interest in charitable and voluntary work.
It is noteworthy that the national donation platform is the easiest and ideal solution to deliver the donor to the needy in various regions and cities of the Kingdom through a safe and transparent donation process under the umbrella of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
