Today (Wednesday), the Supreme Judicial Council held its session – via videoconference – headed by the appointed head of the council, Sheikh Dr. Walid bin Muhammad Al-Sama'ani, and in the presence of the members of the council.

During the meeting, a number of topics on its agenda were discussed in accordance with its competence to supervise courts and judges and their work. The Council approved the establishment of a personal status court in the Jazan region, and the handling of criminal cases in the region. It also reviewed the study submitted regarding real estate contributions claims and took the necessary decisions in their regard. .

While the Council reviewed a number of requests submitted by honorable judges, and a number of issues related to the judicial work and functional affairs of judges such as deputation, assignment and promotions, and issued the necessary decisions in their regard, it also issued its decision to name a number of court presidents and their assistants.
