The Yemeni Cabinet, during its extraordinary meeting chaired by Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik, welcomed the Kingdom's efforts to bring peace to Yemen and all international efforts in this regard. The Council renewed the Yemeni government's keenness to end the suffering of the Yemeni people and its positive response to all efforts aimed at a comprehensive ceasefire and advancing the path of a comprehensive political process that leads to ending the conflict and restoring state institutions. The Council of Ministers blessed the detainees, detainees and forcibly disappeared persons for the success of the exchange deal in accordance with the Swiss agreement and their safe return to their families, and the importance of continuing efforts to close this humanitarian file and build on it to achieve a comprehensive and just peace throughout Yemen. He appreciated the role of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, led by the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which aims to close this humanitarian file, and the efforts of the government team, the Office of the United Nations Special Envoy, and the International Committee of the Red Cross, in facilitating the release and exchange operations. Congratulating the former Minister of Defense, Major General Mahmoud Al-Subaihi, Major General Nasser Mansour Hadi, the four journalists and all those released on their attainment of freedom and their release from detention in Houthi prisons. The Cabinet reviewed the report submitted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs about his meeting with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's team to communicate with the Yemeni parties headed by Ambassador Muhammad Al Jaber, and the results of his visit to Sana'a, as an extension of the Saudi initiative announced in March 2021 and the humanitarian truce on April 2, 2022.
