And the American New York Times newspaper had quoted 4 sources as saying that the director of the European Union Office for Humanitarian Aid in Sudan, Wim Fransen, was shot in the capital, Khartoum, indicating that the European Union ambassador to Sudan was attacked and robbed at his residence, and a convoy of the American embassy was attacked. Yesterday (Monday).

The newspaper reported that Fransen had gone missing last Sunday with the intensification of fighting between the armed forces and the Rapid Support Forces in Khartoum, noting that his colleagues in the European Union mission searched for him until they found him today in a serious condition, but not life-threatening, and the circumstances of his injury were not clear.

Although the truce for 24 hours entered into force after the approval of both the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces, the clashes continue amid the exchange of accusations about who violated it.

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights stated that the death toll among civilians rose to 185 people, and 1,800 others were injured.
